241st National Meeting – Anaheim, March, 2011

Students and faculty from Angelo State University (ASU) and University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) attended the 241st National Meeting of the American Chemical Society in Anaheim, California, March 26 to March 30. Both student chapters received chapter awards and students from both universities presented posters.

The faculty advisors for the ASU student chapter of the ACS, Dr. Edith Osborne and Mr. Kevin Boudreaux, and three students, Elizabeth Leffel, Wills Register, and Kelly Gross attended the 241st ACS National Meeting. The ASU Student Chapter received a Green Chemistry award and an Honorable Mention award at the Awards Ceremony on March 27. The students presented two research posters at the Undergraduate Research Poster Session and a chapter activity poster at the Sci-Mix on March 28.

A group of faculty and students from UTPB, headed by Dr. Christine Hahn, also attended the ACS National Meeting in Anaheim, where they received an Honorable Mention award at the Student Chapter Awards Ceremony on March 27, and presented research posters at the Undergraduate Research Poster Session.
